Maintenance Assistant
- 35% Maintain and repair heating, cooling, plumbing, security and electrical systems. Maintain and repair equipment such as beds, whirlpool tubs, patient lifts, wheelchairs, etc.
30% Interior maintenance including repairing floors, adjusting doors, fixing, changing and replacing lighting, repair of and painting of all interior walls, etc.
20% Completes tasks associated with preventative maintenance programs including weekly door checks, weekly generator test, monthly fire drills, routine equipment inspections (wheelchairs, lifts), monthly audits for safety of bedroom equipment.
10% Exterior maintenance including snow removal and lawn care. Uses campus bus to transport new admissions to the facility.
5% Attends all mandatory in-services relating to safety, infection control, resident rights, etc. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- General Maintenance experience required
- HVAC experience preferred but not required.
- Must possess the ability to understand and follow directions & read, write and perform simple arithmetic.
- Be able to operate mechanical equipment (tractors, mowers) and other general tools to perform the required tasks.
- Ability to do and maintain floor care.
- Need to be able to interact with tenants in a respectful, courteous manner.

Starting pay: $22.07
