Job Summary
The Life Enrichment Director is responsible for all activity programming at the Lasata Senior Living Campus. This position directs, evaluates, and oversees the development and enhancement of all social and life enrichment activities and opportunities for the tenants and residents at the Assisted Living (Crossings), Independent Living (Heights), and Nursing Care Center. This position is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, staff training, supervision, and evaluation of the Life Enrichment program and staff. This position ensures that each individual Care Center resident’s psychological, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual wellbeing needs and interests are met through an interdisciplinary care plan and relevant activities. This position is responsible for all activity related expenditures on campus including oversight, approval and procurement of all purchases per the campus activity budget availability for all three buildings. This position is responsible for the supervision of activity department staff, volunteer program coordinator, volunteers, and contracted beautician and reports directly to the Campus Administrator.

Minimum Education Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

Professional experience as a certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Occupational Therapy Assistant or Registered Occupational Therapist, or Strong preference for supervisory/managerial experience and a graduation from an accredited school of Recreational Therapy or Occupational Therapy.

Two years’ experience in the past five years, in a full-time position, working in an Activity/Recreational Department in a geriatric or skilled nursing setting.

Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements:

National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP)
Must have a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License.

Starting Pay :$31.91
